Job Postings

Germantown Elementary School is taking applications for the following positions:

Full-Time Substitute Teacher: This position entails covering maternity leaves and any other miscellaneous faculty and staff absences for the 2021-22 school year. A K-8 Illinois teaching certificate is preferred. This position would be great for someone yet to find a teaching placement who would be interested in a secure job at one school as opposed to working in many different schools. It would serve as a stepping stone for other potential teaching opportunities in the future and allow for the candidate to gain experience in a multitude of classroom settings. It would also be the perfect position for someone that needs a change. Maybe retirement is right around the corner but the demands of being a full time classroom teacher are just too much. This position is a happy medium between retirement and being solely responsible for a classroom.

Classroom Aide: This position will most likely entail working in a kindergarten classroom and taking on other duties as needed for the 2021-22 school year. Applicants must possess a paraprofessional educator endorsement. If you do not have certification, we can help you with that. This is the perfect job for someone that wants a work schedule that coincides with their child's school schedule.

Bus Driver: We are looking to add to our bus driving team.  An Illinois driver’s license with a Class “S” endorsement is required.   Availability to drive at various times throughout the day is a requirement of the job.   Starting pay is $16 an hour for daily bus routes and $12 an hour for extra-curricular bus runs. ‚Äč

Athletic Director:  Germantown Elementary has an opening for an athletic director for the 2021-22 school year. Candidates must have a strong background in sports, good organizational skills, effective communication skills, and evening availability.

5/6 Boys Basketball Coach: Practices for 5/6 boys basketball start in October. Games are scheduled for early November through early January. Fifth grade games start at 4:00 with 6th grade games to follow, so the candidate must be available after school hours.
