Morning Bus Route Update
Note: The below letter will be sent home with the students on Thursday, September 9. Please be sure to look for it in your student’s backpack. We will need a returned form for every family in the district.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Prior to the start of the 2010-2011 school year, we made changes to the bus routes due to the drastic cuts in transportation funding approved by the General Assembly. When the cuts were made, we committed ourselves to revisiting the topic to ensure that we were meeting the needs of all families. After a month of providing transportation services to our families, we have found a need to reinstate a late run for our PreK students as well as our students that do not participate in before school programming. This late run will go into effect on Monday, September 20.
Effective, Monday, September 20, families will have the option to utilize the following bus transportation services to school:
1. Send your student(s) to school on the early run. The school district will continue to offer supervision from the time the busses arrive until the school day begins.
2. Send your student(s) to school on the late run. The students will arrive at school around 8:15. At this time, the PreK students will report to the classroom while all other students will be supervised by a staff member until the school day begins.
In order to accurately schedule the late bus route, it is imperative that we receive information from each family on which option your child(ren) will be using to get to school. We kindly ask that each family complete the form below and return it to school as soon as possible. All students in a family can be included on the same form. We will create the late run route based on the feedback we receive. Route information will be sent home next Thursday with those students who have indicated they will be using the late run.
