Back to School Information
With the start of the 2011-12 school year only a few weeks away, the halls of Germantown Elementary School will soon be bustling with student activity. We look forward to working with all Germantown Elementary families to make the upcoming year a success.
Please keep the following dates in mind when preparing for the start of the school year.
Wednesday, August 10 – Meeting of the Board of Education
The monthly meeting of the Board of Education will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 10.
Monday, August 15 – PreK Open House
All PreK students and their families are welcome and encouraged to attend PreK Open House from 6:30-7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 15.
Wednesday, August 17 – Teacher Institute and Open House
The faculty and staff will participate in a full day teacher institute in preparation for the start of the school year.
All Germantown Elementary School families are invited to attend Open House at 6:00 P.M. Families will meet in the cafeteria for introductions and a few announcements prior to visiting the classrooms.
Thursday, August 18 – First Day of Student Attendance; 10:15 A.M. Dismissal
Today is the first day of school for all students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The students need to be at school by 8:30 A.M. when the first class begins. School will dismiss at 10:15 A.M.
Friday, August 19 - First Full Day of School
Today is the first full day of school. School will dismiss at 3:05 P.M.
*Families with PreK students should have received beginning of school year calendar information in the mail. If you did not receive the information or have questions about the information, please contact the school at 523-4253.
